The Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program is an initiative that helps place individuals in contact with therapy, coaching, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and self-directed activities for improving one's mental health. These programs are covered by OHIP.
Adults (18+) can review the South Simcoe / York Chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) to self-refer into this program.
Mind Relief is a therapy program that is covered by OHIP and can be self-referred (no family doctor referral required).
Youth ages 15-17 can receive similar assistance through the Bounce Back Program and self-refer into this program.
If you are struggling with a history of alcohol and/or recreational substance use, Breaking Free is an online self-paced recovery program. Addictions Services of Central Ontario (ASCO) is another center that provides and facilitates care and support for individuals, including addiction withdrawal management services. You can contact ASCO here to have someone reach out and discuss how they may be able to help you.
Below are some additional options that may include financial considerations but may require a referral or take a while longer to establish. If interested, please let Dr. Khan know so a referral can be processed.
VCHC-Keswick OHIP covered counselling, for those without private health insurance/benefits. Patient can be covered for up to 6-8 sessions with SW:

CCSYR and FSYR are also low cost options who have a sliding scale based on patient's income.
